Data protection

Salzgitter Hydroforming GmbH & Co. KG would like to thank you for your interest in our company and your visit to our web site. The protection of your personal data is very important to us and this document explains how personal data is collected and processed on our web site. This data protection declaration also informs you of your rights as a user.

You may use our web site without providing any personal data. The collection of any personal data on our web site is on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to a third party without your express permission.

Data collection

Server log files

Every time a user accesses our web site and every time a file is downloaded, data is temporarily stored in a log file via this process. Stored data is evaluated anonymously and for internal purposes only for the purpose of continuously improving our web content. No personal evaluation is carried out. In particular, a data set containing the following information is stored upon each user access:

  • IP address used
  • Operating system used
  • Browser used
  • Access time
  • The web sites that you visit when on our site
  • The web sites from which you visit our site (where conveyed)
  • Data volume transmitted

Cookies

Our web site uses cookies. These are small text files that are sent to your device via the browser. They don’t cause any damage. We use cookies to make our content user friendly. Cookies are stored on your device until they expire or until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

If you do not wish this to happen, you can configure your browser to inform you of the placement of cookies and only allow this in individual cases. Deactivating cookies could restrict the functionality of our web site.

Contact forms

Your contact details will only be collected if you use the contact form to send us a notification or an enquiry, if you send us an order via the order form on our web site or send us an on-line application. Your details will only be collected to the extent required and to fulfil the stated purpose. Further information about on-line applications is available here.

YouTube

We have included YouTube videos on our web site and they are stored on www.youtube.com and downloadable directly from our web site.

They are all part of the “enhanced data protection mode”, meaning that none of your user data is transmitted to YouTube if you don’t play the videos. Data will only be transmitted to the YouTube server if you play the videos. If you are logged on to YouTube at the same time, the information will be filed on your YouTube member account. You can prevent this if you log out of your member account before visiting our web site.

YouTube is operated by YouTube LLC, having its principal place of business at 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube is represented by Google Inc. having its principal place of business at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Further information about how YouTube (Google) handles user data is available at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

Share buttons

We use secure data Shariff buttons on our web site to provide users with social media buttons. Where data from social networks such as the number of likes for the user is displayed, these requests are made from the web site server. The user therefore remains anonymous via this procedure until they become active when the button is clicked. Clicking transfers the necessary data to the relevant social media pages and assigns the action (share or like) to the IP address or logged-on user account on the platform. Further information about the Shariff project is available at https://www.heise.de/ct/artikel/Shariff-Social-Media-Buttons-mit-Datenschutz-2467514.html.

Links

Areas of our web site contain links to other web sites. We make reasonable efforts to check these links. The company is not responsible for the content or the assurance of data protection on the sites linked by us.

SSL encryption

For reasons of security and for protecting the transfer of confidential content that you send us, this site uses SSL encryption. An encrypted connection is recognizable by the fact that the address line in the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the padlock icon in your browser line.

Third parties are unable to read the data that you send us if SSL encryption is activated.

Further information according to the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

Data deletion

Where we have stored your personal data, we only process it for the period required and for the reason for storage or where this is a legal requirement.

Where there is no reason for storage or when a storage period expires, personal data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the legal requirements.

Non-disclosure of data

Personal data will not be disclosed unless there is a specific legal requirement to do so.

Rights of the affected party

Any person affected has the right of information pursuant to Art. 15 of the GDPR. Where we process your personal data, you have the right of rectification pursuant to Art. 16 of the GDPR, the right of deletion pursuant to Art. 17 of the GDPR, the right to restrict processing pursuant to Art. 18 of the GDPR, the right to object arising from Art. 21 of the GDPR and the right of data portability arising from Art. 20 of the GDPR. Restrictions pursuant to §§ 34 and 35 of the GDPA apply in the case of the right of information and the right of deletion. There is also a right of appeal to the responsible data protection authorities (Art. 77 of the GDPR combined with § 19 GDPA).

Legal basis of the processing

Data processed in connection with the use of contact or order forms is for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures on the basis of Art. 6 para 1 (b) of the GDPR.

Where the company is subject to a legal obligation requiring the processing of personal data, processing is based on Art. 6 para 1 (c) of the GDPR.

Processing may also be based on Art. 6 para 1 (f) of the GDPR, according to which processing is required to protect the legitimate interests of our company or a third party in so far as the interests, basic rights and freedoms of the affected person do not outweigh this.

Obligation to provide personal data

There is no basic obligation to provide personal data when you visit the web site. Something else may arise as a result of contractual requirements, as personal data is regularly required for the performance of an agreement.

Changes to the data protection declaration

The data protection declaration needs to be changed at intervals as part of the continuous development of the Internet. Checking the data protection declaration at regular intervals will keep you up to date with any changes.
